Dubrovnik and its guests have shown their great hearts at last year’s edition of 5K race, when they gathered more than 40 000 Croatian kuna for the cancer treatment of young Dubrovnik student Karla Sentić.
Let’s do it again! This year we’re running for Nevio Krešić.
Nevio is a 6-year old boy diagnosed with Majewski osteodysplastic primordial dwarfism type II, a syndrome characterized by low growth and frequent strokes. It’s a very rare condition, Nevio is the only one in Croatia and one of around fifty people in the world diagnosed with it. Despite all the problems and frequent operations, his sincere energy and courage wins everyone at first sight.
He won our hearts too and that’s why we, with the support of our runners, want to help him walk little easier through life.
On Sunday, April 30, we’re running from Stradun – the Old Town’s main street, around the Walls of Dubrovnik, all the way to the Gruž harbour, through Boninovo and down to the finish on Stradun again. All participants will receive a commemorative 5K T-shirt and a medal, while all proceeds from the race are going for Nevio.
Join us in this race for a good cause and support Nevio through running and cheering on Stradun!
